ARLM-54 Radar Level Sensor Expands the ARLM Product Range

We are introducing the new ARLM-54 antenna radar level sensor, expanding the ARLM product range. Thanks to its non-contact measurement principle, 25 GHz frequency, and resistance to demanding operating conditions, it provides reliable and accurate level measurement of liquids and pasty media.

The ARLM-54 operates on the FMCW (Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave) principle, just like the ARLM-70 “Amanda” radar level sensor. It uses a 25 GHz (K-band) frequency and is available in versions with a measuring range of 8 m or 20 m.

One of the key advantages of the ARLM-54 is its low-power electronics with adaptive transmission power control, ensuring efficient and reliable operation even in environments with obstacles.

Electrical connection is provided via a two-wire 4–20 mA current loop, with communication exclusively via the HART protocol.

Reliable Measurement in Demanding Conditions

The non-contact measurement principle provides excellent resistance to changes in the surrounding environment. The ARLM-54 is not significantly affected by changes in pressure or temperature, dust, or steam, and it operates reliably even under demanding conditions, such as vacuum or the presence of aggressive vapours.

Another advantage is that the measurement is largely independent of the properties of the measured medium. This makes the ARLM-54 a versatile solution for a wide range of industrial applications.

Easy Configuration via UniScada

A new feature is the possibility to configure and set up the ARLM-54 using the Dinel UniScada web application. It enables convenient device parameterization, including adjustment of the measuring range, filters, and diagnostic functions.

The clear user interface also provides an overview of measured values and simplifies commissioning and subsequent management of the sensor as part of the overall technological process.

The ARLM-54 combines accurate non-contact level measurement, wide application possibilities, and convenient configuration in one compact solution.
